Best ftp "server" program?

I am using Bulletproof ftp for my server but I would like to know what most people who have ftp servers use?
I've used Vermillian before as well.

Yeah I use GuildFTP, very good considering especially considering the price (ie free).

I just use bsd ftpd whenever I need ftp. Turn it on in inetd.conf, turn on inetd, log in and transfer, turn it back off. I only rarely use ftp, and it's always on the lan.

I am using GuildFTP also http://www.guildftpd.com/. It works pretty good, straight forward to setup, gives you control over every user and runs as a systray icon.

Heh, I helped write GuildFTP and we wrote it mainly for our one chat channel (thus where it got its name).. While it has a lot of features other ftp servers don't have I wouldn't use it because it does have some vulnerabilities (the group designing it kind of disbanded.. Now it's basically a few people working on it alone which has its pros and cons compared to the at least 15 people who were working on it before)..

I personally use g6 (now bulletproofftpd).. I just hope that now bulletproof owns it they don't massacre it like they massacred their ftp client..

I used to use War FTP, but after getting more then my fair share of headaches trying to set the thing up it made its way into the recycle bin 🙂
