I think it's funny you have Church's and Bojangles when there aren't any around here

what about Zaxby's? Lee's famous recipie?
 
popeye's is best (among the major chains) but churches is much cheaper so I usually go there.
 
I vote the colonel, his famous recipe is the shit. I wish my wife would let me eat it more than 2 times a year.

Well, I've never been to Bojangles, but I hear it a lot from peeps on this board.

I have been to Churchs though, and some people haven't, so I figured it would be fair to just put both.

I have been to all... they are all pretty close IMO, Popeyes with a slight advantage, though it depends on the location.

See, you've heard of Churchs and Bojangles, even though you have never been (or don't have one nearby).

However, this is the first time I've ever heard of Zaxby's. The 4 listed, I've heard quite often, but yours are not chains, they're mini-chains that kids put on their tonka trucks to increase velocity.
 
The problem with popeye's is you are likely to get shot anytime you go to one since they are all in the ghettos.
 
Popeye's has spicy chicken, KFC does not. That gives them a decent advantage, but it also happens to taste better. And they have better biscuits.
KFC does have those sauceless hot wings now though, they're decent.

Or they might run out of chicken. You'll know this happens when a TV crew is waiting outside but refuses to interview you. They seem to be targeting a select group of individuals.
 
It used to be churches, but they've changed for the worse at every location I've been to in the past few years. Damn they used to be so good too... Popeyes gets it for their spicy chicken now.
 
That's a tough one. They're all good. We have all 4 locally (or in the next town) here and I have been torn on which to get more than once.
Bonjangles chicken does tend to be on the greasy side, yet the "southern cajun" IS quite good and the biscuits are buttered perfection.
KFC original is pepper 'n' salty goodness and will always be a top contender in my book.
Church's is great when you want to spend less and still get good chicken (and I love the ears of corn you get).
Popeyes spicyness is a welcome refreshment from the frying vats....

It's hard to pick a clear winner. You just can't go wrong with a dead, breaded and fried bird.

BUT, if any of you ever make it to Columbia, SC you should try Zesto's chicken....it fuckin rocks.

 
Church's is inedible. Popeye's is flavorless. Where is El Pollo Loco (not fired) and Mrs. Winners Chicken & Biscuits (SE only)? I'd still vote KFC, especially now that you can mix & match with their grilled chicken that rivals El Pollo Loco's.

popeye's is great. hte one churche's we had went otu of business so never got to try them.


only bad part is popeye's is in rockford and i hate going there. so we go to KFC's

though the best chicken was my grandmothers. it was so damn good.

Never had Church's or Bojangles, but I like Popeyes better than KFC.
I'm not a big fan of fried chocken, though. I enjoy the sides better than the chicken.
