best FREE webhost

So whats the best free webhost, I dont want to pay for anything since it wont get that much traffic.

I want it to:
be up more than its down
ads are fine I guess, I realize its free.
be able to update if with an FTP client on my computer.

Oh and no geocities

Maybe just throw something up on google pages/blogspot? Free webhosts tend to be absolute crap. If you are willing to even pay $10/year you can get something decent.

1and1... it's not free but it practically is when considering their prices... again, you get what you pay for - MAD overselling, but should not be a problem for your site if it's something low traffic.
