Well, my typing is kind of ok, about 40-50 wpm, and I can type without looking at the keyboard and everything, but my technique isn't as good as it could be. Namely because I hardly use my little fingers at all. So what typing tutor software (which I can download for free) do people here recommend?

Thanks.

I remember I used to type with 2 fingers until I this period of a year or so when I got into MUDs. Now all of a sudden, I can type pretty darn fast, no problem. Another thing that also helped me was buying a "natural" keyboard. The split down the middle helps prevent your index fingers from crossing over the keyboard where they shouldn't be. =)

Oh yeah. AIM and ICQ DEFINITELY help. Especially when you're trying to conduct conversations with like 5 people at once...

yeah, but I'd like to learn how to type properly. I.e. using the right fingers for the right keys etc. Anything that shows me this?

cheers

btw, my 'net-speed' on typing master.com 3 minute test was 50wpm, with 93% accuracy. I know that's not too bad, but I'd like more liek 70-80wpm really.

You can get that on the PC now........ I noticed it at the EB the other day. Also you can get earlier versions of Mavis in the jewel cases at the EB (Version 8 ($12) vs Version 11 ($40) )

Wow, I just went to typingmaster.com to see how fast I typed, and apparently, all this IM'ing and ATOT'ing has put my WPM to a, (at least I think), nifty 76 WPM. There's just something odd about the fact that I can type more than one word per second.

Just thought I'd share that...
