Best free soft phone software

I have a Free World Dialup account and used to use a free soft phone but I can't remember the name of it.

What do you guys recommend using?

Do you mean PC-to-phone calling? Would Skype be it? Skype seems well liked. I use Yahoo Messenger's PC-to-phone feature.

No, I mean the software phones that can be used with VoiP services like X-Lite.

I figured there were better ones out there.

Me too. I'm working on a podcast, and I need/want to record some PC-to-phone calls. They're not long (less than 5ish minutes). I thought I saw some service that offered 6 minutes a week free, but I can't find it.

So does anyone know the best free PC-to-phone VoIP service?
