I'm sick of hotmail by now, so I was wondering what everyone's favorite free web email service is?

<< mail.yahoo.com
www.ureach.com

Both are free, 6MB and check POP3.

Thanks! I'll have to check that out!

You're welcome, I recently found out about Ureach.com from an ATOT post so now I'm passing on the wealth. It's great because at work they have Hotmail _AND_ Yahoo blocked but not Ureach :D

Oh you skanky bitch ho!

Ureach has a funky interface but once you get used to it - it's kinda nice.

Another vote for Yahoo! Mail, which I use! If you have Trillian messenger, it will even alert you when you have new mail :D
One thing about the POP3 though, I believe you have to subscribe to one junk newsletter to make your Yahoo! account POP3 compatible.

That's what I thought about Yahoo. Too bad one can't change the side bar colors... :( :)

Yes you can :D Just go into preferences! If you leave it as is, it changes every few weeks, I think.

Yahoo messenger does it too.

Why, yes it does :) But I use Trillian now 'cuz everyone else uses AIM :(

The reason I'm sticking with Hotmail is that it's still supported by Outlook Express. Anyone know of any other free email that can be used with any version of MS outlook? That's the only thing holding me back...

Just picked up a SoftHome account. I can say without a doubt they have the fastest, most reliable servers of any free email I've used through POP3 & SMTP(so you can use any normal email program like outlook express to access it).

Personally I think SoftHome is a stupid name, but hey it's free and good.

If you have an Amex credit card they have a free email with a "username@usa.net" with free POP3 access, but to send email you have to go to their web site.

excite, it works well and seems to have a high enough limit. Don't know the exact amount, I think it is 3mb
