I don't want to game on a mac. I don't even own a mac. One of my non-computer type friends uses a mac and wanted to play games on it.

Send him this link.
Then send him back here to register and list two threads - one selling the Mac, and the other to discuss what manner of asskicking PC to build with the spoils.

I've told him many times I'd gladly build him a PC but he's just "terrified" of anything in computer-land. He's nervous to do anything (including email) because he thinks he's going to break everything.

I've got a Powerbook and I'd love to buy a game to play during class, but nowhere around here sells mac games. With a 1.5ghz G4, 1 gig ram, 128mb radeon 9700 in it I'm sure I can manage to play something decent.

While pc's could handle Final Cut Pro, and do handle Avid, reason etc... the industry standard is mac
Likewise, whil a mac (in theory) could game... let's face it.. that's a PC's land.
Tell him to buy homeworld2 for 50 bucks, it just came out for mac... bawhahahahah
