Yep, Stouffer's owns. All others are crap by comparison. I get the 4 pounders at the local Cash and Carry. The au gratins also rock.

You eat 4 pounds of Stouffer's mac &amp; cheese, and you're still the lean, lanky fellow I've seen in your photos? Waaaaaah. I could gain weight just sniffing the cardboard box those Stouffer's entrees come in!

Not only does Stouffer's Mac and Cheese rule, but you can't make it from scratch for cheaper. A family sized tray is $7.19 down here, and to make the equivalent from scratch would run me closer to $10.

I'm no fool!

id disagree. I think the best frozen is boston market, by far. Its expensive, but its the best by far.

Nah, I only eat it two pounds at a time. Nice thing about mac and cheese, and au gratins, is that they reheat just fine.

busmaster depending on your recipe, you need more than one kind of cheese, cream, and butter as well. I use a recipe that replicates Stouffer's and it serves 10. If you are like me... well, you go for quality ingredients and they are usually more expensive. I like for what I cook to bring satifaction to the people I share it with, so I can be pretty picky. Also, you have to spend time cooking on the stove top as well as baking in the oven, which translates to time/money/energy if you have your air conditioning running.

How long have you been a housewife and mother? Any tips for me?

The Sunny Select generic kind is actually pretty good!

Best Boxed: Kraft. Mind you Kraft isn't the most cheesy great stuff but it's like addictive.

Kraft has one of its plants that makes the powder for Mac &amp; Cheese near here. When people get off work, they are slightly orange - literally!

My mother's is the best Mac and Cheese I have ever tasted. Just plain awesome. But I'll throw my vote to Stoufers's as well for the less fortunate.
