best flat crt for around 300.00

i've got the Viewsonic A90f+ 19" flat CRT.
i love it.
the 'ultrabrite' mode is quite helpful switching from homework to games and back.
that way i'm not blinded when i'm reading spreadsheets but i can crank up the brightness with the touch of a button for gaming.
the only downside is that its gigantic and heavy as a bitch, but if you don't want to pay $100 more for a 17" LCD, thats the tradeoff.
hopefully, bringing it home from the store is the only time you'll ever have to move it.

the Viewsonic P95f+ is a good one too.

I believe its mitsubishi that has the best tubes in their diamondtron displays though.

Its all about bang for the buck at $300 you get a pretty nice bang for CRTs 😛

$300 for a CRT? yikes....

NEC and Samsung make good monitors, so you can go for anything with those 2 maker.

i think sony is a lil expensive. CRT is outdate, any CRT should be decent and relaible now days

i was running my a90f+ at 1600x1200 for past year or so...now i have it down to 1280x1024.
i liked being able to fit so much on the screen - it didn't give me too many headaches...
out of the corner of my eye i could see the flicker at 60hz...it started driving me crazy everytime i looked
at my laptop (which is beside my desktop).
i used to run all of my games in 1600 too and they looked awesome (you don't really need AA at all at that resolution) - until Tribes Vengeance - i could barely see who i was shooting at so i turned it down to 1280 haha.

the P95f+ is 1600x1200 @ 85hz 🙂

and the color replication is orgazmic with digital vibrance.

samsungs CRTs are nowhere near as good as their LCD lines (comparitively)

There a lot better CRTs than what samsung offers, but when youre talking LCD, samsung is among the top.

NEC 19" diamondtron DP930SB, . Once you use one you'll think LCD's suck. There's a reason they cost $300 discount street.🙂

I absolutely love it!
19" CRT, .20dp (very low)
great monitor, still looks the same (quality wise) as the day i bought it 3 or 4 years ago.

very happy with this monitor... and I knew I would be... better be for what I paid for this thing when it was new!
