Hey guys,

Just wondering what is the best flashlight out there?

I'm going to camping for the week, and I was wondering if there is anything better than a Maglight.

And none of those $10,000 x-files flashlights :p

I love my four-cell Mag-Lite, & there are six-cell versions as well. With new batteries they are incredibly bright. IIRC mine was $25 or so.

They also double as an excellent weapon with which to bash one's head in.

Prison guard?

Don't know the best way to put this, but do they ever put some guards on *shower duty*?

LOL! Those Surefire's are not flashlights, they're "Illuminators"

500 lumens for the assault lol,

<< This small and powerful light emits well over 500 Lumens of light. Even with a suspect's eyelids closed during daylight hours, the NightFighter produces so much light that it forces the head to turn. This is a phenomenal control tool! >>

completely bad ass stuff. very good for impressing your buds. the personal defense one is probably the best choice for just everyday stuff. the assualt line is a little too beefy. might catch the tent on fire with the light hehe.

I use a D cell maglite and have a smaller Brinkmann Legend Flashight. Both work well but are kinda heavy. Next time I go camping/rafting later this summer I'll probably just bring my scuba flashlight made by Underwater Kinetics.

Look into the Photon Microlights II. Those are hella bright. People use those to rave most of the time, but they do make GOOD flash lights. They're LED's.

I have a 6D and a 4C maglite. Neither of mine are really bright unless the batteries are fresh, although they are cool :)

anyways if you were still looking, this place has decent prices on the surefires
http://www.impactguns.com/store/sure-fire.html
the 6p defense light is 50$, the d2 is a step up and really cool :) 65$, the executive is the smallest they make i think is 99$ good prices. then again some of them can be as much as 300$, just find something in your price range :p
