I have a home Vista PC, sitting behind a NAT, with about 100gb+ of mp3s

I want to browse this music collection remotely (mostly from work). Since I have erratic listening tastes, I might start/stop songs often, etc... so setting up an FTP server, downloading songs, and then later deleting them from the remote computer isnt convenient

Is there a good, FREE, SIMPLE solution for this problem?

thanx for suggestions so far

ajaxamp looks nice (i like winamp), but i think it requires a direct connection to the host PC (or atleast to the designated port)... unfortunately, the home router im using is fubar'ed in that forwarding a port screws up the router's wan connection???

orb seems nice and easy. i think it encodes/reprocesses and compresses the stream feed, which i dont prefer, but i think its acceptable for listening solution (chepa headphones on laptop)

I'm quite familiar with logmein, but never heard of Orb. Anyone have experience with both? What are the differences?

Thanks!

I've used Vibe. It works, slow as hell though. Plus, no search feature by default. You can go to their forums and people have a bunch of add-ins you can do to get features like that.

7/10 overall for that software, but it works.

How does it compare to orb? My friend uses Vibe and I do notice how it seems a little slower.
