-my case has a 80mm/120mm intake (not open air, its sealed off by the front of the case)
the rest are 80mm
-side exhaust
-top exhaust
-two rear exhaust

--I have two tornadoes/80mm/84CFM
--one 120mm/50cfm
--then 3 generic 80mm

should i put the 120mm to use or just set it aside so a tornado can be an intake

If i was you;
Put the 120mm as an intake.
one of the tornados as side intake, not as an exhaust.
the other tornado as a top exhaust.
and two generic fans as the rear exhausts.

what he said. and I'd cut a 120mm hole in the front bezel to let air in and put a grill on it. or at least enlarge whatever holes are there already to let more air in.

Yet again, what he said.
If you can, cut out the existing fan grill thats there for all of the fans, on 90% of cases, the exising fan grills suck big time. If you dont do it on all of them, then at least do it on the 120mm intake.

Using a side fan hole as a intake was the original idea behind it, cos depending on the location of the side hole, fresh/cool air could be channeled onto a certain component/s, such as a video card or the CPU.

wow, tornadoes are ultra powerful, even at 7V, sleeping quiet, (i bout a pctoys fanbus) my 2.4C@3.0 is cooler than at 2.4 when being pushed with prime95

cooool!
its 61.50 constant but fluctuated for a second to 62.50 degrees
this is the abit ic7 so it has the temp issue

the side fan is directly in the center of the side, i wonder if it was right near the cpu

It`ll probably be very near the CPU/Northbridge/Memory, so it`s probably cooling more than just the CPU.

One more factor to consider, other suggestions thus far have been great..

Positive case pressure (more cfm pulled in than exhausted out) will help reduce the amount of dust that accumulates in the case.

yeah i think i'm just barely positive

so this is the best config for max cooling, i was just worrying about the conflicting air paths:)
