Looking to set up a 50-100TB system with a high priority on reliability.
Thinking about having two separate NAS units in separate parts of the room that will automatically sync to each other. Are there any NAS with software that can automatically accomplish this?
They're used to store a large number of raw image files that will be accessed by a handful of people. So it won't need very good I/O performance but fast transfer rates help a lot. It will be networked with 10GbE.
HGST drives look to be the best in terms of reliability.
