I'm not sure what Leros is trying to say, exactly, but I'll take a stab at it anyway.
. I read through the other thread, and you may be putting the cart before the horse. I haven't researched the topic, but I'll be astounded if you can really spend $1000 and get a "facebook clone" or a "groupon clone." The reason these companies exist, the reason for their proprietary advantage in their markets, is because of their software. Developing software like that is an expensive proposition. You've got to pay either in cash or sweat equity. You may be able to buy/download pieces of it here and there, but you'll have to put a ton of time into integration, customization, design, branding, etc.
So it seems a little funny to see a long, well written post on the SEO marketing plan... and a three-liner on where to find the software. That emphasis might work if you were doing an image board, or a classified ad site, but not for things like Facebook and Groupon.
