Whats the best email client to use in terms of user-friendlyness and speed?

I've been using Thunderbird, but I'm not impressed with the time it takes to start up (seems kinda sluggish to me). Is Outlook/OE a better way to go, and are there any other good ones out there that I'm not yet aware of?

Thanks :)

here's a list of freebies:

personally I use Tbird. for my low end laptop, I'm thinking of switching to Pegasus Mail, seems feature rich and very low sys req:
Pegasus Mail for Windows, 32-bit version - system requirements

* Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 or XP (Home or Professional)
* 5MB disk space, plus whatever is required for mail storage
* 4MB RAM above minimum system requirements.

Outlook 2003 loads in a fraction of a second, and my .pst is roughly 330MB.

I tried TB on an older machine and with a Eudora database imported it was slower than the old version of Eudora.
