Best electronics store chain overall?

I'm a recent new hire of Best Buy, the world's largest retailer of electronics.

I'll vote for Fry's, simply because there are none of them in the northeast. I know for a fact that BB, CC and CompUSA all suck, so I'll make the leap of faith that Fry's doesn't suck quite as much.

I used to be huge on BB but recently Fry's has won me over. There are some things BB does better but all in all, I haven't gone to BB in months.

I don't have a Frys near me - or even in my state for that matter. When it comes to the other three, I tend to prefer CC as the BB employees are too freakin' pushy with those extended warranties.


Yes, BB, I'm sorry to say, but I'll avoid shopping in your store whenever possible until you get the wolves to lay off on pushing the extended warranties. :roll:

They don't pay their employees $7 an hour to wear a dress shirt and a tie to help people, duh! I find that to be a plus of Fry's - I don't want some teenage punk who obviously knows less than I do telling me what to buy and why I should buy it. They're smart enough to go after the old people who are clueless.

Fry's has the biggest selection. So of the ones posted, Fry's.

CC is pretty good. I worked there for a summer, and was impressed by what I saw.

Its not a great computer store, not much selection or custimization, but for a TV or home theater setup, its hard to beat.

And they treat their employees well.

If I could, I would vote against Fry's simply because they won't go nation wide. Too many good deals in the Hot Deals forum that I can't take advantage of because of that!!

Fry's.

It comes down to price, and Fry's wins everytime. Since Fry's opened up closer to me (used to be an hour away, now it's 10 minutes), i haven't gone to BB/CC/Compusa.
