I'm thinking about buying the LCD currently shown in my sig.

I'd like to buy from NewEgg.com

Thanks!

I'd like recommendations for both. A gamers card and a good non-gamers card as well, thanks!

If you don't want gaming, you can get dual-head Radeon 7000 (one CRT one DVI-I, maybe even with an extra TV-out) for as low as $60, there are DH Radeon 7500LE cards for around $90, and it scales upward to 8500 all-in-wonders with TV tuner, Firewire and everything.

On the cheap end, there are also SiS 315 based DH cards w/ one DVI and various Matroxes. NVidia chip based stuff usually has a huge premium for having a DVI connector, while especially the Radeons practically have it as a commodity for everyone at no extra cost.

Best DVI I've found: PNY GeForce4 4200
It was $199 retail at Fry's, and a $20 MIR to boot.

It has DVI, S-Video, and DSUB outputs. (No DVI->DSUB adapter included.)

This is the only card I could find that would do 1600x1200 DVI on the Dell 2000FP LCD panel.

The PNY GeForce3 claims to support it, but was full of speckle and snow. PNY thinks it's defective.

My old eVGA GeForce 2 MX 400 was totally incompatible with the Dell DVI input. I didn't try very hard.
