Best DVD Printer

Hey guys. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience on DVD Printers. I'm sick of using a sharpie to write what is on my DVDs and would like to get a dedicated DVD printer to directly print on the DVDs. Anyone have any recommendations for some consumer level DVD printers?

FYI - I have a lightscribe drive, however, media doesn't exist yet for Dual Layer lightscribe technology. Plus, using a print method I think will be cheaper than buying lightscribe media.

Canon has some good ones. I bought a Canon MP780 AIO printer and eBayed a kit that allows it to print directly to DVDs.

I think it is the Epson R200 or R300 that is a non-AIO that will print directly to a DVD without any modification.

edit: I don't know if either are the "Best" but I've gotten very good results out of my MP780 and a co-worker has had good results with his R300.

edit: Googled it. I don't have any experience with one of these but I think I'd prefer going with an inkjet printer that can print to disc. Something tells me that the inkjet cartridge replacement costs will be less than the cartridge replacement costs for one of those.

Epson R260

I been using the Epson r200 and the Epson r340 for years now, great machines. Print flawlessly on everything including dvd's and cd's. You can get ink for them as low as $1.25 a color at meritline, or OEM equivalent ink, but a lot cheaper, from swiftink.com.

I use a canon IP4000 but most any of the new canons will do it with a tray bought off of ebay. Google canon dvd printing and you will find plenty of info.

I refuse to buy an epson because they are the reason no one else can have built in cd printing on their inkjets in the USA.

Yeah, I don't know why super,media,store,com isn't allowed.

Anyways, I have a epson R300 something that does a good job. I think it sucks that canon isn't allowed to offer a printer in the US that does the disk printing. Damn Epson.

Really isn't that hard to convert a Canon printer to do disk printing. One of the easiest "mods" I've ever done.
