best dvd player?

Sorry if it is a repost but wanted a few suggestions on the best dvd player I can get that will play burned dvd's. I have a Sony DVP-S560D that is anal about regional coding and burned media. IT WON'T PLAY ANYTHING! I used to have this old, craptastic apex one that literally played everything. But they stopped making these. I'm sure there are other dvd players out there that play everything, just haven't kept up to date with standalone dvd players. Any input would be nice.
