Best dvd burner for bang for the buck today ?

Want to buy a new dvd burner but one that will not fuss at any kind of dvds no matter what kind of blank dvds, movie dvds (some of netflix dvds seem to stop close to the end, no its not the netflix dvd I checked), and game dvds.

PCSLOOKOUT MEGATHREAD V1.0 would have a subject title of...

"I may not need a Raptor 150 gig afterall, Best dvd burner for bang for the buck today? Is it even worth it? Can't get sound from my Philps dvp 5140 dvd player through line out on the onboard sound card, Hauppauge WINTV-PVR-150 tv tuner card - Has anyone been able to get one of these working? My new TV Tuner card I am not impressed with, Western Digital 150 GB Raptor Hard Drive, 2 WD 150 gig Raptor hard drives, one for windows, application, and game installation. The other for data. 2 IDE 7200 rpm hard drives instead of 1? I may not need a Raptor 150 gig afterall, How do I make a hard drive partition bigger in Windows Vista, Best case company, For a intel motherboard, do I have to connect the 4 pin cable as well? My new 400 watt Enermax power supply does have enough power cables for my new pc, How many amps does this power supply have on the +12v please? Currently own a set of Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones"

I got the Samsung 18x DVD/RW from newegg for $29.99

this thing reads disc that my laptop and my other computers were hvaing a hard time reading. I'm very impressed with it.

Why are people being mean to this guy? I know he is asking about pirating DVDs, but then again, some DVDs don't even play in some drives. I know some Sony release DVDs give me problems in my NEC 2500A.

What gives guys?

I have that same NEC drive. It's a little picky with old, scratched up Netflix DVD's. So I keep an old Toshiba DVD-ROM installed that plays everything. You can throw a DVD out onto the highway, leave it there for a few days, and the Toshiba will still play it.

He's not only asking about Pirating Netflix DVDs, but he's also posted threads for every other hardware topic under the sun.
Pretty tall order for only being a member for two months.
"What gives" is that he should spend more time READING that he is POSTING new threads.

pelikan thank you.

For the record I don't even copy netflix dvds because I have no use to watch a movie more than once like you people.

We just assumed you were a movie pirate. Thanks for clearing that up for us. 😉
"like you people"... What's that supposed to mean?

As in you all can watch movies more than once easily. I can't.

No, I'm like you too. Once I see a film I become violently allergic to it and cannot watch it again no matter how good it is or how much I want to; my retinas will detach and my hair will fall out and the sky will run red with the blood of innoc- seriously what the hell are you talking about?

Dude, You need your own forum

Holy cr@p. What day was this?

To the OP, if you really want a DVD burner that won't "fuss" about different brands and types of DVDs get a NEC DVD burner and load it with Liggy&Dee firmware from the CDFreaks forum. They're always adding support for more media in their firmware updates.

Oh and I suggest you do more research, read more threads before posting all of these questions and making many redundant posts.

Hm I'm stuck between the Pioneer 112D or an NEC. I want a good read/write balance. There seems to be a lot of burners that burn well, and a lot of burners that just read well.
