Best DV video/editing card?

I'm putting together a dual Xeon setup and the board has no AGP. I'm looking to trade my AIW Radeon AGP for a PCI
model unless there is a better card for DV capture/editing.
MSI Dual PII/PIII Xeon w/U2W scsi on board & RAID port.
Any advice wil be appreciated I'm new to the DV thing.

Thanks

well if you have the money for a xeon setup i assume you want something kind of in the prosumer category... so this would be something along the lines of a Matrox RT2000 or RT2500. If this is too pricey (around $1000) then look for something like the Dazzle DV.now.AV. Canopus also makes good solutions from what I hear. Your best bet is to start here. Good luck!

Well I fell into the parts at different times - I don't have that much money to spend. The RT2500 is too pricey unless I had a buyer for the setup. I have an AIW Radeon, but like I said no AGP slot. It's more of a server board. Thanks I'll check out some of these. I may just sell the Radeon and get what's best.

I'm going to toss out a plug for the DV.Now AV.. As of yesterday it is now officially Premiere 6.0 certified. I've got a system with this card & the pinnacle DV500.. just between you & I.. I like the DV.Now AV better.

DV seems to be the norm these days, but converting from DV to Analog & back is appealing. This is either going to be a spec box, or server. I can build a DV station on a Tbird platform as well. Dual Xeons is a powerhouse though.
