Best Driving Game???

I have been playing Gran Turismo 1, 2 and 3 on PSX. I really want a good driving game for my PC that is close to or as good as GT. Any suggestions??
 
There hasn't been any recent releases, so there's nothing that can graphically compare to GTIII, though some games do tend to look sharper with high rez and FSAA and anisotrophic filtering.

Best game for the average player: need for speed: porsche Unleashed

Best game for the race enthusiast: nascar 2001 (is 02 out? maybe?)

Best game for rally: Collin McRae

Best game online: Need for Speed, Motor City

Start with Porsche Unleashed though, it's a pretty good racer and can be had for about $15 individually, or $20 in a four pack with a bike game, need for speed 4, and I think a monster trucker.
 
admittedly i don't play much driving games but i recieved nedd for speed porsche unleashed (called porsche 2000 here in australia) and found it to be a great game to play! 🙂

Best PC racing game out there right now for ANY type of player, IMHO 🙂
 
No driving game on the PC platform can compare to the Gran Turismo series on the PS.

For PC I think the two best driving games are Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed and EA's Sports Car GT.
