Best drivers for old card...GF2 GTS?

Have an old GF2 GTS. Is it normally best to go with the latest drivers....45.23? Is there another driver between 40.xx and 44.xx that works better? Or is it trial and error with different drivers for one specific rig? Thanks, Doug

I`m using the latest official Nvidia 52.16 drivers for my GF2 Ti in my backup PC.

Nvidia homepage ,people worry too much about performance between drivers & they forget latest drivers have new bug fixes.

Thanks, Mem...I'm using win98se so 45.23 are the latest. With 45.23, 3dmark2001.build330 won't even run - returns error code D3Derror_invalidcall. It will run with 41.09 (returning a whopping 2469)

One thing to remember, is that even with an old graphics card, if you're trying to play some of the newer games (Midnight Club 2 for example) you'll need a recent Detonator release. Something like 30.82 (knock on wood) will make the game look messed-up, even if it was the perfect driver for all your 2001 and most 2002 games.

I'd just use the latest.. when I had my GTS I think I was using the 30.82 drivers which like every other NVidia driver, worked fine.
