My new GeForce3 should arrive this evenning so I would just know where to get the best / latest drivers for it. I currently use 22.80 with my GeForce2 Pro, but I know that you can get the 23.xx Detonators somewhere.

You can get 23.11 drivers from nvidia's homepage www.nvidia.com, but I'm not sure those are best, they improved my 3dmark result but significantly downgraded performance in some games.

I tried the new Detonators tonight with my Asus ti-200 and did not like them at all, ended up going back to the out of the box asus drivers.

I'd stick with your 22.80's if they work properly. I've seen nothing but trouble come out of the 23.11's.. probably half a dozen people this week have had system hangs because of them. If the 22.80's don't work with your new card, check out www.3dchipset.com They've got 21.83's and basically all the drivers you'll need.

What are the earliest drivers that support GF3Ti200 ? Is it possible to use 6.50 or 11.xx or 12.xx drivers ? I have couple of older games that doesn't work with anything newer than 6.50.

The 23.11's were specifically designed with optimized DX 8.0+ performance in mind. If you play games that predominantly use DX 8, then those are the drivers you want to use. If not, however, the 21.83's or the 22.80's are your better choice.

Thanks, why didn't I look at Windows drivers yesterday when I was at Nvidias site for Linux drivers anyway?
I just found out that I have the 21.83 lying around allready, as I've downloaded pretty much every Detonator version that has been discussed in this forum I'm sure that I have one that'll work. I'm downloading the 23.11s right now, but I might just stick with the 22.80s if they work well. Can't wait for the Ti200 to arrive.

Okay, just got the card and decided to try it with the 22.80 drivers as you guys recommended, heres the 3d-Mark 2001 scores:
6636 (defualt speed, 175/400)
7070 (200/450, the first oc I've tried with the card, this was a breeze so I expect to get more out of it).

Those scores is with a XP1600+ @ 1533 (146x10.5), with an out-of spec agp-bus also, but it works fine.
The card is the cheapest GF3-based card I could get, a Palit Daytona GF3Ti200, 50% cheaper than then next-cheapest card here in Denmark. Considering the price it's a great card, 2d is a little better than my old MSI GF2 Pro and 3d is well, great (it's a GF3 after all). As I haven't tried how much further it'll oc I can't say for sure how great it really is, but nothing beat it at it's price!

Tried the 23.11 drivers on my new Gainward GF3-Ti200 and got a score of 7,210 with settings of 232
and 515 with the Performance Tool. Thats on 3D Mark 2001. Really like this card. It has good 2D quality
also.

Nice Basie, but for some reason I get higher scores than you with a cheaper card (only cost 2/3 of your Gainward) and drivers that supposedly give worse scores in Dx8.0 tests (3D-Mark 2001). The results I've got with the 22.80 drivers are:
7275 (220/500)
7448 (230/530)
I know I have an XP, but your T-Bird is oc'ed more than my XP (1.4@1.533) so that should compensate for it I would think.

Your 2d-quality is probably better than that of my card (have never seen a Gainward-card) and I would have gone with a Gainward if any shops had ahd it in stock but then I saw this card and at the price I simply had to have it. See my tread about it for more info.

Tried the 23.11, for me they perform much worse and limit my oc'ing.
With the 22.80 I get more than 7200 (can't remember the exact 72xx) with my card oc'ed to 220/520, with 23.11 I only got 6400. All setting were the same of course.
Plus, with 23.11 my machine wasn't stable with the card at 230/530, which runs fine on 22.80

gogoman, I'm not sure, can't remember where I got 'em from. When they were new there was a thread about 'em here, but that's a while ago now so thread is probably gone. If you PM me your email address I can send 'em to you.
