I have a Gigabyte 6600GT, I installed the nVidia drivers which came with the cd (I think it was 65.somthing or 64.somthing, I can't remmember exactly, but it was sixty somthing dot somthing...),
and had severe stability issues, and performance was crap.
So, my question to you is (after you'll finish flaming me for not searching enough), is what drivers are best for me, and where do I get them (a link would be appriciated!). Thanks.

Hi, thanks for the link. The link you gave though, leads to d/l the 71.84 driver, which is sort of new, and I hear has got some issues...
I need somthing stable, that performs well. BTW, I saw people here talking about version which are not in the nVidia site like 76.xx or somthing like that... how is that possible, if the 71.84 just came out a week or so ago? where do I get them, are they stable, and who makes them? Thanks.

71.84 is going to be the most reliable driver you can get as of now.

I agree. However, just because drivers are beta and untested, doesn't mean that they are unstable. I am using the XTreme-G 76.10 drivers, and actually, I think they're the best I have used since the 67.66 beta drivers from NZONE. For the OP, I would say the reference ForceWare 71.84s as they are "certified" to be "the best". However, if you (the OP) are up for some 'sperimenting, then try out the 76.10s from XTreme-G. If you're interested, just Google it, and you'll find it.
