Definately Star Downloader, much MUCH better than DAP in my opinion!

A bit better then DAP IMHO, I recently switched from DAP to Star Downloader myself.
GetRight is a distant third.

MetaProducts Download Express

Copied from their site-
"MetaProducts Download Express (DE) is a Windows 9x/NT/2000/ME/XP program that allows you to download individual files from the Web and FTP sites at the maximum possible speed. Multiple downloading channels technology significantly decreases the time necessary to download files. Download Express is a small (about 260 Kb) Browser plugin application. Currently it supports Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and higher. By default, Download Express intercepts all clicks on files with extentions: 123, ARJ, CAB, CDW, COM, DOC, EXE, JAR, LHA, MP2, MP3, MPE, MPEG, MPG, PDF, PPT, RAR, RTF, TAR, XLS and ZIP. Download Express has the auto-learn feature. It will ask you about including filename extentions when you add files with a new extention using browser click hot keys. When you cancel, Download Express opens a file window for unwanted file types and asks if you want to exclude this extention from its file types list.

Browser clicks monitoring hot keys:
- Please hold Alt+Control keys down when clicking to add any link to Download Express;
- Please hold Shift key down when clicking to have Download Express ignore a link. "

I use it at work, it's small and works well without all the added junk. Oh, and it is free, too!

I used to use GetRight. I never had any problems with the program in terms of functionality or bugs, but I haven't tried any of the others mentioned here.

my favs:

- MetaProducts Download Express; IE only, only speeds up download and resume broken ones.
- DAP; supports Opera ( I don't use IE)
- GetRight; to access anything that DAP can't (such as some web-scripting)

DAP.
I have the standard version, and the only thing wrong with it is that you get a small banner at the top of each download window. But for a free program thats that useful, then its worth it. Plus some of the ads are funny.

Does Star Downloader support Mozilla (browser integration)? I use flashget since its plug-in for Opera also works for with Mozilla.
