I don't know alot about webpage development, but I have an idea for a webpage and would like to buy the domain (its available), what is the best company? Ive heard good things about godaddy
 
what is this i hear about transfer prices? If i go to sell it i have to pay? DomainSite.com does this for free, i might go with them.

Are you referring to transferring domains to a different registrar, or to a different user if you sell them? Every registrar I've used will let you "push" a domain to another owner free of charge.
