Best Doctor: McCoy vs Beverly Crusher

Crusher is a useless character *lightning bold shield up!*
Kes is like a cute girl who has potental later in life, unfortunately that later in life time passed. She'll never be more than a candy striper.
Pulaski is just annoying and thinks she has more power than she really does, I bet she would be sued for malpractice.
McCoy was a real doctor. Emotion was over the top but I could actually see myself having an office visit.
EMH was too into being Human but I dig his singing. MY VOTE
Frodo has hairy feet.
 
Crusher gets to captain her own ship (well at least in the 'future', that was subsequently changed), so she gets my vote.
 
Dr. Bashir would probably be the best, considering he is genetically modified and all.(I feel like such a geek saying that)

He is? Explain. I've only seen a few episodes of DS9...its just not as good as the others.

I voted for Bashir as well, and I don't know why. He seems like a weiner, but I buy him as a doctor. McCoy was a whine ass. Beverly couldn't even save that butch security officer girl when she got slimed. The all suck though because they just point the "Star Fleet Auto-Healer" ray guy at injured people and then call themselves a doctor.

He was slow as a kid so his parents took him to get genetic modifications that would increase is mental capabilities.(Before you ask why doesn't everyone in Star Trek get them, it is illegal) It was in one of the later seasons when they added this to the storyline.
 
Bones....the other docs had all sorts of computer assisted medicine to help them....what did Bones have? Skill and an ever present bottle of Sorian Brandy....that's what.
 
Agreed. It's either McCoy or the EMH, too hard to choose.

Crusher... ugh. She had two or three episodes in which she was the protagonist. Worst episodes of the series, by far.

EMH, on the other hand, had some wonderful episodes "Real Life", as did McCoy (though I can't remember the episode names).
 
EMH has good character developement, but Bones is 'DA MAN. "Dammit Jim, I'm just a simple country Doctor. His heart is where his liver should be." is one of the all time great TV lines.
I voted EMH though, because he's busy chatting up 7 of 9.
