Best Docklet/taskbar program?

Hello. I like having all my shortcuts pop out from the side of the screen. I've tried a number of programs, but each seems to give me some problems. ObjectDock was good IIRC, but it would make my computer crawl when coming back from idle. (have they fixed this?) MobyDock just crashed all the time. I'm using YZDock right now, and it's good, but it still acts weird sometimes (staying on top, then re-coming out from the side when i put my mouse over it, so it always covers the screen).

Anyone have favorites?

you realize this is somehwhat built into Windows however not documented anywhere that I can see
simply create a folder in /my documents (or anywhere you want). Call it whatever you want too
now add any shortcuts to programs, files, HTHL links you name into this new folder

drag the folder from winexplorer to the edge of your desktop and blammo there you have a side menu bar. You can set it to small icons, autohide, always ontop etc by right clicking.

Ive used this for years and years and love it
Best for quick lunching commonly viewed websites (ATOT)

Actually, forgot to mention that I used that for a long time. (great minds think alike--thanks for the suggestion) I actually created a new toolbar and set it to be a folder in the start menu that I then customized.
I'm just a fan of flashyness 🙂

Very nice... never seen that one before... though I don't really use quick launch bars.

why does anyone use Yz? iirc, it was hard to find online and not updated any more. i liked ObjectDock more, especially the previous version. all the docking things in it now kinda bug me.
wouldn;t it be great if Windows quicklaunch icons just zoomed when you hovered over em??

This kind of stuff always just junks things up. I've never found any of it to be particularly stable or superior to the windows shell.

Is that a  "Yes, they're bad" or a  "No, you're wrong" ?

Trying the new Objectdesktop. Seems a bit smoother and Task manager says it's using less memory than YZ. We'll see if it holds up.
