Best DIVX codec pack?

So I'm watching various unlicensed anime series, and some of the episodes they're all green and I can't watch them. It's weird cuz sometimes they're from the same subber, but I guess they change settings for one episode?

But anyway, what is the best most comprehensive divx codec pack that I can install ensuring me error-free playback in all situations?

Try using xvid instead of divx.

In the past I have used Nimo codec pack, and I've heard of the Tsunami codec pack as well. Would these be better or worse?

doesn't the pto codec have adware or spyware?

Mine came with a free copy of Gain self-installing, What a deal!

haha, good call, I just ran Spy Bot and wow, that's a lot.

So should I just DL and install each of these codecs separately in the future? Or just install Gordian and just run spybot?

I have a personal preference toward K-Lite Codec Pak. I couldn't get my divx encoding (tv captures) to work with other packs without conflict and this was what worked best for me.

I've been having trouble with some newer TV show encodes using FFDShow so I switched to xvid. The problems went away until I needed to watch something that was encoding using Divx3 which xvid doesn't support, I guess.

Igowerf.......what you need to do is this:

Install FFDshow..........then configure it NOT to decode xvids (from the codec entry).
