Best Disk storage solution

Currently I have 600 disks in spindles, and 300 or so in taiyo yuden cake boxes.

I was looking into the 300+ disk wallets but apparently the inherent flaw of the concept is that the weight shifting around tends to scratch the disks. But buying smaller wallets would cost More than the disks by far.

So, I'm just wondering what you guys are using, and if you could recommend some products.

Ah yea it is a gaming issue,, as lots of those disks are games. And i'd say an avid gamer would run into this problem.

Anubis was right. The new sub-forums were added, among other reasons, to help take the guess work out of where many topics belong. Your topic specifies storage solution, we have a storage specific sub-forum=moved -Anandtech Moderator DAPUNISHER

Every few years or so, I just throw out the old games I don't play anymore.

While I admire your "can't take it with you" attitude, I can't bring myself to let go of anything that MAY be of use in the future.

I can't imagine when I'll next want to install Betrayal in Antara or Beast Wars. House keeping is good for the soul.

Leave them in the CD cases they came in, or put them in aftermarket cases if they came in sleeves. Dedicate a bookshelf or two to hold the CD cases.
Since the normal space on a book shelf is at least twice as high and deep as a CD case, build or buy little square inserts to double the amount of space each shelf has for holding CD cases (you have two levels on each shelf).

Check out the products section. You'll probably want the CDC3 - 360 or the CDC2 - 240

The model I use is apparently no longer made. 🙁

OMFG yes yes yes.. How do I buy these

A bit pricer than I remember 🙁

I got mine (holds 120) at Bed Bath and Beyond for about $20

These are soo cool. And would go perfect in my room. If you consider it furniture, I suppose the cost is justifiable.
