Alright, I'm in the market for a digital camera now, just wondering exactly what would be best bang for buck? Price range is about $400-$500, $600 maybe, but cheaper is better ;). Anyways, things that I've been looking at were cameras like the Nikon Coolpix 950 ($729.95 - $100(coupon) - $150(rebate)= $479.95), the Sony Cybershot DSC-S70 ($799.99 - $165(PM) - $40(coupon) = $595.95), and the Kodak DC4800 ($599.95 - $100(coupon) = $499.95)

BTW, thanx for the people in Hot Deals to make these deals possible!

What kind of resolution are you looking for?

I managed to pick up a 1.1 MPixel Epson PhotoPC650 for $200 last year from PCMall.com

Lowest price on Pricewatch for that one is 264 $US plus shipping

I would get the Nikon Coolpix 950, the most features and performance bang for your buck.

Nikon CoolPix 990 if you have the money.

Otherwise, go with the Canon PowerShot S10. I have an S10, and it rocks. The Canon G1 is the best camera available for under $1000, but it might be out of your price range.

How about a Toshiba PDR-M70 ? It has the same lens and CCR control as the Canon G1 and the performance is neck to neck with the G1. I heard that it's the most popular digicam in Japan. You can get it for about $550.

My 2.1 megapixel 1600X1200 max resolution Sony DSC-S50 works great for me. Got it for $ 459 off a search on CNET.

I've been thinkin to get a digital camera as well, I've recently read about the Kodak DC4800....sells for 599.00, for a 3.3 MegaPixel, thats not that bad of a price.
