gah. I want one, but this is all I have to spend. Give me some models...

I almost won this Casio QV-3000EX 3.34MP , but I bid with 14 seconds left and someone had outbid me via proxy, and the auction ended 1 second before I got my 2nd bid in. :( I set my alarm specifically for the auction, so I was tired and not up to par on my sniping skills. :D

It would've been such a killer deal, assuming the broken CF slot cover was the only thing wrong with it, too. :p

Oh well.. So give me some makes and models of digicams that go for 50 to 75 bucks.. maybe 100.. but it better be worth it! ;)

Post a WTB in FS/T. See what people offer you for your $75. A fuji Finepix 1300 would be the sweetest. I got mine for about $100 on fs/t. Maybe someone wants to get rid of one.

Definitely. I bought my Kodak DC290 2.1mp w/3x Optical zoom for $100 from the FS/FT forum.

And who says postcount doesn't matter ;)

I posted a similar question 2-3 weeks ago and all i got was "You wont find one for under 100" or "Anything under 500$ is crap" blah blah blah.

I have a finpix 1300 that is great for the money.

I should probably mention that I would like a cam with as many settings and doodads as possible.. That's why I really wanted that Casio cam. :p

Although I would jump on a really good deal on a strictly point and shoot cam... heh.

Whats the "lowest" cam that will accept different lenses? The A40?

I actually hacked one to accept Minolta MF lenses. The exposure capabilities of that cheep camera were too weak to really take advantage of the lenses though.

I've got a busted Kodak 1mp camera (has a short somewhere) that I plan on doing it again to...

Oh, and Olympus is just now releasing a camera with interchangable lenses... And a new Zunio line of lenses too. Gonna be expensive, I'm sure...

Probably the A40 but I highly doubt you're going to find one for $75.

Yea...

Me too. :p

If it would be worth it, I can just wait I guess. I would rather get something I am happy with than not..

I want to use it to learn about digital photography and all the technical stuff that goes with it, cause I do eventually want to get an expensive SLR camera.... someday.. heh

Instead of getting a POS digital camera why not get a decent scanner? I'm sure that you have a nice 35mm around the house already.. Remember, 1 hour photo shops are pretty cheap now adays.. If that's not a good solution you can a few 1 mp cameras for around $80 on ebay.. Here are some to STAY AWAY from:
-Anything by Polaroid
-Anything by Vivitar
-Anything by Concorde
-Anything by Logitech
-Anything by Kodak
-Anything by HP

If you haven't heard of the company then don't take the risk.. Good companies include but are not limited to Fuji, Sony, Olympus, Canon (though I don't think you'll find any at this price), and Nikon

Though if you're only spending $80 you're probably actually just wasting the money... An $80 camera will not give you very good prints and will not really have all the features that you'd like (no zoom lens, etc. etc. etc.)... I'd rather save some money up than waste $80 on a camera only suitable for email shots.... I picked up a 4 MP minolta for only $199- for $120 over your budget I was able to get myself a REAL camera that will last me a long time....
