I defrag my computer every couple of weeks using the Windows defragmenter, but am just wondering, is there anything perhaps better for defragging? I saw in the freeware thread a program called DIRMS Defragmenter, and it looks promising, but I'm wondering if there's anything else out there you supah proz (lawl) use. Thanks :D

I've been using Defraggler by Piriform. (The same people who make CCleaner)

Anyway, it's free, fast, has many options and is very light. The download is less than half a MB.

PD, long time DK supporter. But had many issues under Vista64 w/ DK (two times filesystem corruption, had to reinstall.)
Besides, now they removed boottime defrag "due to incompatibility with Vista SP1"....and also in the latest i have never seen ifaast running on my machine. So right now PD FTW. PD also does a way better meta file defragmentation.

Currently I use Diskeeper 9 Pro
Works well on XP .. they have a newer
version out that I think can run on Vista
and also does Raid Arrays. Not sure if V9
works on Vista or Raid

can i ask- what is wrong w/ xp defrag and what makes 3rd party defraggers better? are there different defragging algorithms that yield a better result?
