if you have a printer that uses these pieces of $hit, please shoot yourself,
the bc21 black cartridge is rated at 40 pages of paper. even for 2.49 that still equates to 6.225 cents/page. Way too expensive in my book. Just get an hp

croaking,

Hahahahaha! And HP is a better alternative for ink usuage? Let's see, the average black ink cartridge on an HP is about 30ml for about $30. The Canon black catridge is 9ml for about $7.50. So to get 30ml of Canon ink would cost you $25. $5 less than the HP ink. Another thing to consider is that HP saturates the paper with more black ink than does Canon. As a Computer Dept Salesman, I've seen the cost per copy on all of the major printers. Epson usually leads the way with the least expensive cost per copy, Canon comes in second, and HP actually lags behind Lexmark on most of their printers. Look at the amount of ink in the cartridges for the newer models of HP. IT GETS LESS AND LESS.

I can't argue HP's (the DJ 932C specifically) quality over Canon, but your assessment is way off. I have a BJC-5100 and BJC-2100, using the same ink cartridges, and even using High quality mode, I can print more than 40 pages. I don't saturate the entire page with a Van Gogh or anything. Plus, using ink refills from Renewable Resources (I think they may have been bought out), I've saved a ton of money, and I get great prints.

For home use, there's nothing wrong with the Canon's and this ink cartridge, especially for the money. Again, there are better printers, but high cost is not a problem for the Canon's (and every ZDNet and PCWorld article you'll ever read will back this up).

First off, those are not Canon cartridges, they are generic compatible for Canon printers. Secondly, for economy you cannot beat the BC-31 for the BJC-6000. You can buy individual non-Canon brands off Ebray for $5 for each color, large tanks too. You run out of yellow printing, ummm, caucasion flesh tones, you just throw out yellow. Great photos too from the BJC-6000. No way any HP can beat this Canon for cheap printing.

The price has gone up the cartridges. $4.99 for Black and $9.29 for color. When did you see this low prices?

Bad Dude, I thought the prices had gone up too. But the actual deal is, $4.99 for Black and $9.29 for color, BUT they have "Buy 1 get 1 free" on most cartrdiges, including these (BCI-21 black and color). Therefore, when you buy 1 of each, on the end-invoice it voids the original price and shows you as getting 2 of each at $2.49 black and $4.65 color.

However, unlike the original post, I was charged $3.55 shipping...still a good deal, but just letting you know shipping isn't free.

I am using, Canon 5000 and when the ink in BC21 runs out, I replace it with one of those four color ink bottles you can get for $15. It has lasted me for about 5 months now. Good solution I would say.

I can't get my canon to recognize that damn ink holder. Anyone know any tricks? I don't want to shell out 50 bucks on a old ass printer.

That ink holder is your print head. No trick to getting it to work again. IT'S DEAD! I have a spare one I'll let go of at a fair price. Email me if you're interested
