Best DDR2 2gb kit for Price/performance

Okay im total n00b at DDR2 right now. AM2 is out and a friend of mine is n00b too.

We are both learning new junk about DDR2 ram and stuff. But i wanna know whats the best 2gb ram kit i can get. Money isnt really that big of a deal. I can spend 300 on it but cheaper would really be better. Okay i just wanna know like chip names and brandnames that will do really good in my new AM2 system. I wanna get some nice timings too and some decent speeds.

Well, if you want best bang for the buck, my recommendations are OCZ, Patriot, or GSkill. The first 2 having more value, but GSkill brings a little more performance. If you want bragging rights you could spend some extra money for XMS stuff with temp LCDs and what not, but XMS is generally over rated pieces of crap, IMHO, of course

i would say the G Skill DDR2-800 2x1GB sticks are pretty good...
