Best DDR Gaming MOBO

Anaconda

Banned
I want to know what IS or WILL BE the best mobo for gaming that supports DDR SDRAM. If there's a good one out right now that you own, please do tell about it. Or if you heard of superior superfast ones coming in the near future, oh please do tell. I'm considering getting the Iwill KA266, is this a good idea? I just want it plain and simple. Tell me the BEST gaming DDR mobo you know of!! And tell me why you think so.

Anaconda,
Right now I think the best DDR motherboard is the ASUS A7M266 (AMD 760 chipset), but I'm personally going to wait for the KT266 motherboards to come out. Why? Main reason is VIA produces very good chipsets. The KT133 and KT133a are perfect examples. The KT133a is an excellent chipset and I see no reason why the KT266 won't follow the same tradition. Also, I'm not a big ALI chipset fan. ALI has been in the business awhile, but they are not know for there performance. The KT266 motherboards are worth waiting on. There are atleast 3 KT266 motherboards that are schedule to be released to the market in April. They are made by MSI, ASUS and EPOX. I think all of those manufactures make good motherboards. I would wait and see how these motherboard perform. Hope this helps.

I just ordered an Iwill KA266 DDR board. I will let you know how it works when I get it. The board is getting very good reviews. If Asus (or other) comes out with a better one later I'll just upgrade the board since I'll already have the processor and DDR.

Dewey,
I read the KA266 is suppose to be a good board. Let me know how it performs. What type of video card do you have?

im kind of new to this multipliers and flashing the bios business. So many people seem to know about it. I just need someone who would be courageous and brave enough to give me a medium long summary on tweaking your mobo to the max safely without OC'ing (you know, setting the FSB, the ram fsb, or whatever, JUST HELP ME! I'M A NEWBIE! I'M ONLY A FRESHMAN IN HIGH SCHOOL!)
