Hello,
Long time listener and first time caller here:

Of course there are good and bad experiences from person to person across the spectrum of available hardware manufactures, but is there a short list of companies that are consistently ranking high in the 'after the sale' service department? I looked online for reviews and rankings for tech support and didn't find much that was both comprehensive and relatively recent. Perhaps we can aggregate one here?

I'm not looking to start a thread for negative rants, just some short, sweet, constructive and informative short analysis of the people competing for our hard earned PC component dollars. Many companies offer a variety of components, and even more specialize, but for those of us looking to build a new rig soon, we're interested in all the pieces parts.

Perhaps for easier searching we can title each response with the company name followed by the component, e.g. MSI Motherboard customer service...

I'll kick things off with

Icy Dock, Model MB559US-1S External eSATA/USB HDD Enclosure. When contacting their tech support in CA for an enclosure that was randomly shorting out shutting off, they were professional and courteous. After working with me through email and phone, we were unable to identify and resolve the issue. Icy Dock replaced the unit, no hassle at all, and the new one has continued to work perfectly. A highly recommended company.

EVGA and XFX are known for good GPU tech support and both have lifetime warranties...

APC: UPS / Surge protection / AVR
I bothered these poor bastards recently with no less than 5 separate emails (communicating with two different representatives) inquiring as to which model(s) of the products to buy for a new high-end workstation and they responded each time with very detailed and practical answers and suggestions. Granted, I think these are remote (home based) tech support personnel rather than corporate based employees, but no matter, they seem to take each customer and question seriously, based on my experience. No, I don't work for APC.
