Hi perdomot,
I'm using an ASUS Crosshair motherboard and I really like it. Using an AMD X2 6000+ chip and 2GB OCZ DDR2 6400 memory. Check my sig, it's the AMD Workhorse. With 3 HDDs loaded with music, DVDs and other active software, it's pretty responsive. It's also not an inexpensive mobo, clocking in at $234 at Newegg: Check it out here:

Also, the newest CPU magazine (not out yet, but I read as a subscriber on their website pdf) has an article, ...the best of 2007. For AMD mobos, it selected the Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H as #1, the Biostar TF560 A2+ as their runner-up and the ASUS M2N32-SLI Premium and second runner-up.
So maybe these boards will give you something to look at.
