Motherboard: KT600 Dragon Plus V2.0 Link

AMD64 N/A
XP/Barton 3200+***
XP/Thoroughbred* 2600+
XP/Palomino* 2100+
Thunder Bird 1.4GHz
Duron 1.8GHz
Sempron 2800+**

* 266MHz Bus processor
**333MHz bus processor.
***333MHz and 400MHz bus processor.

Currently have an AMD Sempron 2500+ Thoroughbred 1.75GHz.

Mostly want to upgrade so that I can do faster video editing and be able to record HDTV while I do other stuff on the computer.

Or should I just wait for prices to drop on the dual-core CPUs and get a new motherboard?

You can get a cheap CPU/Mem/Mobo from ewiz. It will be ways faster than anything overclocked processor you posted.

Edit:
CPU
Memory
Motherboard
you can add a video card later if you wish, but this setup should be ways faster than overclocking any socket A processor, should also save time on your encoding.
Cheers

Prices are already very low for Dual Core CPUs. Get yourself a new Motherboard, a 3800+ and some new ram. You'll be better off. If you want to do stuff and do video editing at the same time. You don'T have much of a choice.

Thanks. lobbyone recommends eWiz. Do you have any recommendations on where to get MB/CPU/Memory?

newegg.com, zipzoomfly.com, ect.

Search on pricewatch or pricegrabber for the stuff your looking for and you might find it cheaper elsewhere. Check resellerratings.com for the e-tailer ratings.
