Best Country for Wine?

IMO, Germany is my favorite for white wines (reisling = love), and Italy is my favorite for reds.

I tried Japanese sake once, and it totally grossed me out. Warm sake was disgusting, and cold sake was barely tolerable.

where do they make 'Boones'? my lay to pay ratio I think worked out best on that junk....

heheh....got to love S. Florida.

Why split California from the rest of the U.S.? Why not split france up.

IMO, the difference between Northern France wine and Southern France wine is marginal, whereas the difference between California wine and East Coast or Pacific Northwest wine is much bigger.

For the most part I prefer Italian wines, but that is not a hard and fast rule. There are some US wines I like, be it California or Oregon or Texas. I like some Riesling but that is all that German wines really have to offer. I never been really big into French wines, and no it does not have anything to do with the French stereotypes.

I've been on a big Syrah, Pinto Grigio/Pinto Gris kick and I will always, always be good to go for some Chianti.
