BEST Core 2 Mobo( P5B! Deluxe\750w) compatible with DX10????

Very little improvement for gaming. It would be great if you do a lot of encoding and such.

Pricing will very likely be close to $1000, if I had to guess. Could be less, but that's a ball park. I hope it's less 🙂

In any case, I wouldn't wait - for most people, it won't be much benefit yet.

I agree with this also. I bought one after much research but have yet to install it as I am waiting on the arrival of an e6600.

I think you can do better than that Zalman 9500, I am using one currently and am not all that impressed with it.

After more research I have a Scythe Infinity on the way and will be comparing them soon.

 
IF you can wait a few days how about the dfi nforce 590 board?

I have an asus p5b deluxe and just got everything installed in winders.
I would change to one if I didn't have to reinstall.
I really feel like the 965 was crippled overall to keep the 975 as top dog...too bad the 975 aint all its cracked up to be either

they cancelled the C19 version & switched to working on C55 so it's going to be a few months rather than days ...

Asus is always my first choice bnut the DQ9 is quad core ready and thats the big kicker for me im not sure is the p5b deluxe kenstfield compatible

I picked up a P5WDG2 WS PRO yesterday and mated it with a E6400. The results thus far are nice indeed.

Straight away I set the FSB to 400 and my humble 2.1Ghz E6400 is purring rock solid at 3.2 Ghz. I'm yet to push it but wow, not bad straight out of the box.

With 8 x 300GB drives hanging off a RocketRaid 1820A controllor, the PCI-X slot is a godsend. Man I love this board 😀 😀 😀

I am not sure. I *think* that since it has the P965 chipset it *should* be quad core ready. However, I would not trust my opinion 😱, better to wait for someone with more experience and knowledge than me!
 
I thought I heard the 570s were quad core ready? Not sure about the 965s. Supposedly next week the 2nd revision 965s and 570s launch so I'd wait to check on them. I would think they would be quad core ready if any are.

Yeah im gonna hold off couple weeks untill these things are announced

Also I called Asus pre sales support I dunno if the Guy knew what he was talking about
but he says for the time being they dont know if any of the boards are Quad Core Ready they have to wait untill they get em and Test them out

One thing I noticed about corsair Im finding that The PRO series are cheaper than the regular xms2's are the pro series better or worse?

Considering the price of it it should be the best of the best. Its an expensive mobo.

The guy told me that the Platinum Rev 2's are better cause golds have compatibility issues which I know they did with the DQ6
And at 444-12 timing 2.0 volt stock for 300$ this kit seems promising

I haven?t heard of any compatibility issues with OCZ on this board

I want the best over clocker however If the Corsair goes to 2.3v voiding warrantee and the OCZ does 2.2 under warrantee obviously Ill stick with the OCZ

I can also get Corsair with the pro spreaders same timing for 400$
Or corsair with the regular xms2 spreaders 444-12 timing for 400$

Anyone with any info on this boards compatibility with the OCZ or over-clocking with it would be helpful Thanks

I just ordered my p5b e6400 (which now is outdated by an extra 130 fsb)(
However I purchased a 750w psu so that it will be dx10 compatible and I?ve got a huge tower as well

with this new geneso slot i know is backwards compatible with pci-express

Dont worry about DirectX10. DirectX10 isnt going to be all that important IMO until Vista releases which isnt till next year. When you upgrade (if you ever do) to Vista O/S then worry about DirectX10 compatibility.
