Best cooling

Hi! I'd like to know what the best cooler for a S939 mobo would be, if I didn't care how loud it was. Also, price doesn't really matter, I want it to do it's job, so I can overclock the hell out of my (future) processor. Thanks in advance.

That kind of price isn't reasonable. BTW, did I add that it would be nice if it'd fit in a normal ATX midi-tower? I'm thinking of spending ?0 ~ ?150. Like I'd buy a $1000 cooling system for a $300 processor 😛.

It's not unreasonable. If you've got the money, hell does it help you overclock your proc like hell. Actually it'd be a 5000$ cooling system. 🙂
Maybe a Coolermaster Aquagate, an Asetek Anartica or Astek Waterchill kit.

Air= Zalman7000 w/92mm fan, or an XP-90/120 with a 80-120mm fan
Liquid= Cooler Master Aquagate, Koolance Exos, a mix of DD parts, or an Asetek

So you want the best cooling for a s939 proc in a mid-tower atx case and you have a budget of around $200.00 US. Ok, here's what I'd go with:

Clearflex 60 3/8"ID PVC Tubing (12ft @ 1.12 ea.) ---> $13.44
DD DDC-12V Pump ---> $74.99
Swiftech MCW6000-64 CPU block ---> $42.50
DD standard heater core ---> $29.99
Fan Shroud for standard heater core ---> $13.99
Panaflo 120x38mm FBA12G12U 115 CFM Fan ---> $16.99
T-Fitting ---> $2.50
Distilled Water, coolant & zip ties ---> ~$10.00
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grand Total ---> $204.40

If I was going with the best Air setup. I'd get this:

Thermalright XP-120 ---> $49.99
Panaflo 120x38mm FBA12G12U 115 CFM Fan ---> $16.99
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grand Total ---> $66.98

Undeniably, the water cooled setup will get you the best temps and overclockability, if you don't mind the price tag and assembly.

Assuming you'll be playing around with your FSB multiplier, you'll probably want to throw aside another $45.00 or so for a good NB water block or HSF, depending on whether you decide to go with water or air.

How about very cool? 😉

If someone says that, they don't mean "please make me sell one of my kidneys so I can overclock my processor another 10 MHz". 😛

Then they should be clear about what size budget they are married to. :laugh:

Dude, seriously. WHO THE [oh, I'm so naughty] WOULD SPEND $5000 ON A COOLING SYSTEM? Only the insane and the abnormally rich. And by rich I don't mean Oprah rich, I mean Bill Gates rich.

You must be talking about something other than US dollars. Because the Mach II is FAR less than $5000.
You'd be surprised at how many members here have Mach I & II sytems. :laugh:

Well, what's it cost, then?

Blains definitely right. I'm actually thinking of a mach2 for myself:shocked:

548 for mach 1
900+ for mach 2
700+ for vapochill

Well, that's a little above my budget. And by a little, I mean a whole f'n lot.

Antec SLK3000B Case
(3) Panaflo 120mm L Fans
Thermalright XP-120 Heatsink (drop one of the L fans and put in a M fan if you want better performance)

why dont you go to one of the links provided and look
youre being a real ass about this

Thermalright XP-120 & Panaflo 120mm High/Ultra High speed fan.
OR
Zalman 7700CU

Id go with the thermalright setup, because it wieghs 1/3 of what the Zalman weighs.
Also, you can setup the thermalright the be quieter just by using a slower fan.

How do you go from...
"Also, price doesn't really matter" to $931 being "a little above my budget. And by a little, I mean a whole f'n lot"? :shocked:

You should have started off the thread something like... "I want the absolute best cooling I can get for under $75" 😉

well I think he has decided which way im going with my cooling PROMETIA Mach II it is although Im going to HATE cutting ito that Thermaltake Armor VA8000 Series case with a dremel tool
