Best controller for Madden 2004 (PC) ?

Heh, I just did the exact same thing. I'm cheap, so I got a Logitech Dual Action Gamepad. When I opened up the box, on the control instructions, what control did it picture...that very one. With the logo missing of course. It's not a bad control, although I prefer the XBox controller so far.

Logitech Wingman Rumble Pad is the best gamepad out I know of, imo basically a improved version of the PS2 controller.

You can also get adaptors or make ur own adaptors to hook up console controllers

Die hard Madden player here.... I use 2: the Logitech WIngman Rumblepad and the MS Sidewinder. Both have their + and -. The rumblepad does not have a button 10, so you have to pause to do a TO. It can cause sync errors (causing disconnects) if you are playing online, so be aware of that. (And you can't reassign the button). Also, the buttons on the pad are small and close together, so you sometimes hit the wrong one.

The sidewinder is good, a little bulky, but good. The problem with it is that is does not have analog sticks, so the playmaker feature (which is useful) is useless on this pad. Other than that, it's decent.

I have also used the PS2 controller, and it plays fine with an adapter.

Hope this helps.

$15

i got a superjoy game pad adapter, it will run 2 PS2 controllers simutaneously it was 12 bucks shipped from ebay seller (PM me if you want his email)he offered to sell more at that price.

I like that because:

1. i have enough controllers laying around (NES, SNES, N64, Genisis, PS2...)
2. i like PS2 controller, so why buy a $15 cheapie when i've already got a nice $30 PS2 control, and end up with some crap joystick that dsnt work.
3. you can get the same type of adapters for Xbox if you prefer.

Logitech Dual Action Gamepad.

It's almost identical to the PS2 gamepad, which is probably the best gamepad out.

a cheap, good solution is the saitek p880 dual analog. you can pick them up at CC for 20 bucks. the response is pretty good, and the 8-way actually works properly.

what it realy boils down to is this, do you have an PS2 or Xbox? do you like that controller?

if you answered yes to both of those questions the adapters are probly the best option, so you get a reliable controller (that you already have) and pay just a little for an adapter.

I suppose you could go out and buy a really nice gamepad for $30-40, but if you already have one, why not use it!
