I just bought two 512MB DDR400 sticks (2.5 - 3 - 3) from newegg: http://www.newegg.com/app/view...=20-146-299&depa=0

In my DFI LanParty nF3 250G, there are 3 memory slots. I know that I can't get DDR400 with two sticks of dual channel SDRAM, but does it matter if I have the memory in slots 1,2 as opposed to 1,3? I haven't really done my homework on dual/single channel RAM and understanding what the major functional differences are.

I was also wondering if anyone else has used this RAM and what sort of OCing they've been able to do with it.

Read your manual for slot placement. You should be able to run DDR400 as long as you have less than three DIMMs... Dual channel/single channel doesn't matter since it is a property of the memory controller, and not the memory modules themselves.

For overclocking, you can still go high with the CPU. You'll just have to run the RAM asynchronously, which does not affect performance much on the A64.
