i hate when i go and buy a computer magazine and then get home and find out that everything inside i either a)know how to do if its a magazine like that or b) have already seen every part/technology/whatever their talking about online.

Is there a decent pc mag out there?

Given the number of ads, almost all computer mags should be free. At free, they would be worthwhile. At 5-7 bucks a copy, they ain't.

by the time an article is published and delivered to you, it's at least a week old. read tom's hardware and engadget/gizmodo

I highly recommend their off topic subforum... not so much for P&N.

Id really like to find a magazine with projects and shit to do and stuff like that. Im a big fan of POPsci, anytime theres anything in there on computers its usually better than what they write in dedicated computer magazines.

I read Maximum PC when i'm on the shitter.

Nice to know I'm not the only one who did this. XD

I should renew my subscription sometime, I loved the CDs that came with it back when I had dial up.

I'm with the others. By the time it makes a magazine, it's month old news. I use Dailytech, Engadget, Digg, Gizmodo and Arstechnica.

Maximum PC is decent crapper material for sure 🙂

once in a while I'll pick up a PC Gamer and flip through it but I don't buy mags anymore. too much goodness online
