I'm wondering if there is a solidly performing PDA/MP3 player on the market right now? Or, if anyone knows plans to have one in the future? Seems as though using sd cards would be the way to go...why aren't companies making large hd's in pdas to play mp3 files? Anyway, just wondering...thanks, if you can help ease my curiosity in any way!

:)

My Hp1940 can play music, videos, games. I got cheap for only 170 bucks awhile back on ebay. It still goes for about 170- 200+ now.

They don't put hard drives in PDAs because there isnt a market for them and they would be too big. People like their PDAs to be small, which is why smart phones are popular (along with their dual use) Also, most people who use PDAs use the MP3 function as a secondary feature. If you want tons of storage, get an ipod or one of those portable media players. I myself use my PDA (HP H2210/H2215) as a MP3 player because I'm too cheap to buy a new MP3 player after my old one broke. I got a $30 512mb SD card during Black Friday. Playing MP3s is doesn't require very much resources, so I'm sure any current PDA will work; videos are a different story...

Yep. Get an x30 with a big SD card, and you're golden.

I agree, Sandisk has rebates on their SD cards every once in a while, I'm sure if you look around you can find 1GB for $60 and 512MB for $30, maybe even cheaper.

Not likely gonna happen, from what I've heard, PDA sales are dropping.
