My friend and I are on the same network and we're looking for a new game to waste time on. We've been playing Dawn of War and EEII but I've been whooping his a5s in both and he's sick of it. Are there any other good 2 player or Co-op games that we can play over an LAN? I'm guessing we're pretty much limited to RTSs but are there any good shooters?

I believe that No One Lives Forever 2 has strict co-op, no team-playing multiplayer stuff (they might have it, but as something extra).
You can still get it at gogamer for $5, I think.

I hear Soldiers: Heroes of WW2 (Tactical RTS) is good in co-op (my copy is coming in the mail). The Commandos Series is pretty good too. In Rise of Nations, you can actually play co-op WITHIN a team, ie, you and your friend are both members of red team, and you fight yellow and blue computer teams. That way, one person can concentrate on resource management/civilization progress, and one person can concentrate on military building and warfare.
