Best Cirque show and clubs (not strip) in Vegas?

My FI and I are going for the first time together, and I'd like to make the trip a special one for him. We're on the guestlist for "ICE" Saturday Night (normally a $20 cover, if anyone else wants to get in free on the g/l let me know and I'll send you a promoter's e-mail), and I've heard Be, Pure, Light, Tangerine, Rehab, and Body English are also fun?

Also, which Cirque show is the best? I've seen "O" and wouldn't mind seeing it again, but is there a better one now?

There's two others, now....I don't know which is "best" but it seems silly to see one you've already seen when they are all so different.

I've seen both "O" and "Mystere", and I prefer Mystere. My seats at "O" sucked, but I think I would still like Mystere better, if all else was equal.

Is Mystere the original one? What hotel does it take place in again?

I think it was the first in Vegas. Its at Treasure Island.

There are actually three other Cirque shows now. The newest, KA at MGM, then there are Mystere at Treasure Island and Zumanity at NYNY. I just got back from Vegas and saw KA with my GF and we both thought it was great. We have yet to see "O" but did see Mystere during our trip last year and though that was excellent as well. Between the two, I would reccomend KA and definitely get seats in the second tier, we sat in row FF seats 16 and 17 (center stage) and the seats were perfect, I couldnt imagine sitting much closer as you would breka your neck seeing most of the show. Same goes for Mystere if you go that route. You cannot go wrong with either selection as both shows are amazing and worth the price of admission.

Found some reviews:

They Say Each show gets better n' better....
Mystere the first and still a must see.
"o" The second and a water extravaganza.
Zumanity The 3rd and very erotic.
"KA" the fourth fire extravaganza and they say the best CDS yet.
Anyone you choose, they are all good and all worth the money...

I know which one is NOT the best - KA. I went to see it in March with two other couples, and we all thought it was terrible. Don't waste your money!

I have seen all of them that are currently in Vegas. My husband and I both loved them all, but we rate them differently, as follows:

1. Mystere
2. O
3. Zumanity
4. Ka
Him:
1. Zumanity
2. Mystere
3. Ka
4. O
So, as you can see, although my husband and I usually have verry similar taste, we have a completely different view on the Cirque shows. I think we would both agree that Mystere is a great show to see as your first though. It made us true addicts!

Zumanity has our vote. Saw in 4/2004 and we had reservations at Emerils restaurant but never made it. Very erotic. Had the couch seats near the front stage.

Treasure Island. It's the original as far as Las Vegas is concerned. It's possible that they did other shows before moving to Las Vegas. I really liked that show. My dad like O better and I forgot what he said about Ka. Basically, all 3 are really good, but the seat location is always important. A bad seat ruins the experience.

btw, a group of my friends went to 'ka' last time and said that was the one they liked best (they have seen all the major cirque shows in vegas, plus a couple here in sd). im not a huge cirque fan (you can find me at the tables instead ;) ), but my friends ages range in the early 20's and thats what they liked best, so thought id just pass that long.

KA officially opened in late February. If you saw it before then, it's likely to have changed, quite a bit. It's very dark, unlike many Cirque shows, and it follows a story line.

Mystere is my favorite. It's definitely the most impressive acrobatically.

O was good too, but doesn't measure up to Mystere, IMHO. It has an impressive set, and the effects are amazing. However, the acrobatics is what really makes the show for me, and it's not there with O.

Some great tips and reviews, thank you... for those who have been to a Cirque show in Vegas, did you feel it was worth the price? I think we're just going to minimize gambling and spend a little money instead of waste it away on the tables, so full price it probably will be. I've heard of people doing some timeshare meeting for 2 hours in order to get 1/2 price tickets, but I don't really want to waste my time at a timeshare meeting. :confused:
