Best choice for a *semi-quiet* HS/Fan for XP1800

I plan on buying a XP1800 real soon and was wondering what HS/Fan should I get?
Right now I'm running a TBird 1.33Ghz with some Coolermaster fan (i think its that) and its loud =|

Any ideas? Thanks for any input.

BTW, I have no plans to overclock at all and is currently thinking about getting a Thermalright SK-6 with Delta 85 CFM.

You are thinking about a "semi-quiet" hsf and yet planning on buying an "ultra-loud" Delta (85CFM)? Hmm...

A lapped SK6 with a nice quiet 60mm ADDA fan. Works for me
If you want "quiet", just buy the bare HS. Get a quiet fan somewhere else.

alpha pal8045 and a quiet panaflo or sunon 80mm fan. can't beat it for temp/loudness

Are you referring to the Sunon 80mm Whisper fan right?

Just wondering... is that fan sufficent enough to cool Alpha PAL8045 on a XP1800 chip?

If your MB will accept it, the Alpha PAL8045 should just about cool your non-OC'd Palamino without a fan. But to be safe, you have more choices in quiet 80mm fans than you would going with 60mm's.
The SK6 is a great HS, even with the slower/quieter fan. But the Alpha should have the edge on it when it comes to "quiet cooling".

About the cheapest (quality vendor), selling the Alpha PAL8045. They also have AS II pretty cheap while you're there.
Take your time if ordering here they've got lots of goodies
